Different Types Of Spray Tanning Lotions

Sunbathing is funny, hot and exhausting, but it is also very dangerous. It can cause different skin irritations and cancer. Even so, most people still practice this risky game, to get a nice, bronze skin. There are so many ways of achieving the same results without risking your health. You don't even have to use tanning beds any more. Some great sunless tan products are available today, including foams and spray tanning lotions.

Creams, foams, gels and spray tanning lotions designed for this purpose can be simply used in your home. If you buy a set, you will also get a moisturizer and an exfoliating gel. Spray tanning lotions are especially convenient if you buy them in those handy sets. They are easy to use, and available in several different shades.

If you are not exactly do-it-yourself type, you can always find a good sunless tanning salon to take care of your bronze. They mostly offer two application methods. The first one is a booth. Spray tanning lotions are applied automatically in this case. Their technicians mostly use very effective airbrush technology, and they will apply spray tanning lotions professionally.

If you are shy, and you would like to be tanned all-over, maybe you should choose a booth. Results are very nice, and your tan will be even and smooth. The procedure is simple, and takes only a few minutes. Airbrushed applied spray tanning lotions provide excellent results, and they really are impeccable. Professionals know what should be done, and which is the best product for your skin type.

It doesn't matter which method you choose, as long as your skin is properly prepared for the treatment with spray tanning lotions. Shaving just before going there is not a good idea. Resulting color might have spots in this case. It is much better to shave at least a day or two before that, to give your skin a chance to heal.

It is also good to know that sunless tan products based on DHA aren't really a paint. Active compound in most good-quality sunless tanners is DHA, or dihydroxyacetone. It reacts with proteins, to be more exact, with amino acids in them, only in surface skin layer. Bronze color is the result of this reaction. Different DHA concentrations provide different intensities, but most products contain color enhancers as well, including spray tanning lotions.

Only the most outer skin layer gets affected with DHA. That's why you need to exfoliate your skin before applying spray tanning lotions, or any other fake tan product. This process will make your skin smooth, exfoliating all dead skin cells from it. This way your color will look better and last longer. Make sure to pay good attention to heels and other areas where the skin is especially dry, because these areas might become darker.

Although using good moisturizers is always important, it is especially important to use them before and after applying a fake tan. Spray tanning lotions mostly contain moisturizers, but you should apply a good one daily anyway, to make your skin soft and appealing, and to make your color last longer. Another thing you shouldn't forget about is that you shouldn't use any deodorant or perfume, because they could cause unwanted reactions.
